Karine Mkrtchyan is an English professor with more than 12 years of experience in Teaching English as a second language. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English, a Diploma in Journalism and Newswriting and a Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, University of Edinburgh.
She has a vast international experience and has worked in media, publication and pubic relations spheres in the beginning of her career. Later on, she has shifted to English Language Teaching and has been actively involved in curriculum development and teacher training parallel to her teaching role. She joined the Luoyang Normal University in 2026 with a goal to support students in advancing their English Language skills in academic settings. Her primary focus will be supporting students to improve their speaking skills, overcome the fear of communication in a foreign language, and to gain confidence in using the language in professional, academic and daily circumstances.
